Studio Information + FAQ

What is it? 
The Skin Within Studio is a facial fitness platform designed to guide you through various skincare rituals that support a healthier facial structure, more radiant skin, and a deeper connection with the self. 

The Studio was created to enable consistency, guide you through self-care rituals, and ultimately help you achieve lasting results while empowering you to be an active participant in how gracefully you move through the aging process. 

No experience or previous knowledge of skincare is required to become a member of the Skin Within Studio. Think of it as showing up to a workout class!

Simply log in to your Studio *account here, and choose your skincare ritual for the day! It's that easy. I'll be there as a coach to work with you through each step. 

*this is NOT the same as the homepage login (the icon that looks like a person), which is solely for purchasing skincare products and tools.


Where do I begin? 
We recommend watching the Welcome videos first and then starting your journey with the "Beginner" section. Shelly curates a "Weekly Schedule" every Monday, featuring different classes; these typically promote a well-rounded exercise program you can follow for the week. 

Shelly believes it is optimal to have variety in your facial massage, face yoga, and lymphatic drainage practices rather than over-focusing on your specific area of concern; varied and comprehensive exercises will help enhance facial harmony and encourage more consistency.

Try different classes and see which style you like best! We have classes for focused concerns, combination rituals (combining face yoga and massage, etc), meditative rituals (movements to music), a section for quick workouts in 15 minutes or less, and new programs if you want something more structured and aligned with your lifestyle. 


What tools do you need? 
Although tools are often used in the Studio, and they do help to enhance effectiveness of some of the techniques, none are required to enjoy the benefits of the classes. Any Gua Sha tool you might have can be incorporated into the Gua Sha classes (but many people just use their hands in place of a tool), and you can simply use the back of a pen, your Gua Sha tool or your own knuckle to modify for any reflexology classes! It is worth noting that many of the classes require that you use some kind of facial oil to provide slip for movements. 


 

By joining the Skin Within Studio as a member, you will: 

  • Learn facial rejuvenation and face shaping techniques from a former nurse injector and holistic esthetician.
  • Explore ways of restoring volume and contour to the face without the use of chemicals or injections.
  • No longer feel stuck on what to do for your facial care routine (just follow along)! 
  • Improve upper body and facial posture which facilitates better circulation, lymph movement, and healthier facial expressions.
  • Learn how to move and touch the face to help prevent signs of aging, in as little as 10 minutes a day.

About the founder:

The Skin Within Studio was created by Shelly Marshall, the founder of Beauty Shamans Skincare. While gaining experience working as a nurse and cosmetic injector, she put a focus on learning the secrets of facial anatomy and skin health, from both ancient and modern perspectives. Shelly teaches a unique style of facial care that combines massage with reflexology, face yoga, and the ancient art of Gua Sha.

Photo Contest Opportunities: 

Are you happy with how the Studio has helped you transform your face naturally? We want to know!

We invite you to send us your qualified* "before and after" photos in exchange for a credit toward your membership account. We suggest taking your "before" photo as soon as possible and then tracking your progress at 3 months, 6 months and 1 year. Accepted submissions will receive a 1-month credit to the Studio! Once a year, we will choose one WINNER who will receive LIFETIME ACCESS to the Studio!

*Qualified photos are clear, in focus, unfiltered and unedited (cropping is ok), and appropriately lit. Studio credit for qualified submissions will be issued when the annual winner is announced. By submitting photos you agree to our promotional use of the photos if you are chosen as the winner. Runners-up (participants who are not selected as the winner but still demonstrate results we want to share) will be offered 1 year of free studio access in exchange for promotional use of the photos.
